The Newland HR23 Dorada Corded is the latest generation of Newland’s popular Dorada scanner family. It gives shops, pharmacies, offices and light warehouses full 2D scanning, including QR codes on phone screens, at a budget that previously only covered 1D laser scanners.
Improved decoding software reads distorted, damaged and low-contrast codes down to 20% print contrast, with a 45° × 34° field of view, so staff spend less time re-aiming and more time serving customers.
Comfortable and balanced
At just 137 g, the HR23 is light enough for long shifts while still feeling solid in the hand. Its balanced shape and soft trigger reduce fatigue at busy tills, and beep, LED and vibration feedback confirm each read even in noisy stores.
Hands-free when you need it
Pair the scanner with Newland’s Smart Adjustable Stand, which moves from an upright to a flat position for desk or wall mounting, or the Smart Gooseneck Stand for presentation scanning at a fixed distance and angle.
Easy to set up and manage
Connect over USB keyboard, USB-CDC, HID-POS or RS-232. Newland EasySet software lets IT teams change settings, clone configurations across devices, update firmware and analyse scanned data, and the HR23 is GS1 ready for modern retail labels.
