Technowave implemented a connected digital pricing and promotion system for Westzone Supermarkets using Electronic Shelf Labels and 10.2-inch full-colour LCD screens. The rollout now covers nine Dubai stores, helping teams reduce manual sign changes, update prices and promotions faster, improve visibility in fresh departments and maintain a consistent customer experience.
The installation combines item-level electronic pricing with 10.2-inch LCD screens for fresh and promotional areas. Single-sided screens support counters and wall-facing displays, while dual-sided screens make prices and promotions visible from both shopping directions.
Westzone needed a faster and more consistent way to manage shelf prices and fresh-section promotions across multiple stores. Manual paper changes required employees to print, distribute and replace signage branch by branch, taking time away from customer service and increasing the risk of delayed or inconsistent price communication.
Technowave deployed a combined ESL and LCD solution connected to Westzone’s pricing workflow. Electronic Shelf Labels provide clear item-level pricing, while more than 700 full-colour 10.2-inch LCD screens deliver larger product, price and promotion communication in produce, bakery, meat and seafood areas. Single-sided screens are used where communication is required from one direction, while dual-sided screens improve visibility from both sides of aisles and hanging positions.
The rollout uses different display formats based on the product area, viewing distance and amount of information customers need to see.
2.6-inch, 3.5-inch and 4.2-inch labels provide item-level price and promotion information across shelf and counter environments.
More than 700 full-colour 10.2-inch LCD screens provide larger product images, prices and promotional messages. Single-sided units support one-direction viewing, while dual-sided units improve visibility from both sides of aisles and fresh counters.
Price and promotion information can move through an integrated workflow, supporting faster updates and better multi-store consistency.
The same digital pricing model has been implemented across the following Westzone branches, creating a consistent and scalable operating approach.
The project gives Westzone a cleaner and more manageable way to communicate prices and promotions across multiple supermarket locations. It reduces repetitive printing and replacement work, improves visibility in fresh departments and allows store teams to execute campaigns more consistently across branches.
Store teams spend less time printing, carrying and replacing promotional material, allowing updates to be executed faster across participating branches.
Connected updates help reduce differences between system pricing and customer-facing display information.
The 10.2-inch full-colour screens provide more space for product images, prices and promotional messaging. Dual-sided screens improve visibility from both shopping directions.
The standardized deployment model has supported expansion across nine Westzone stores.
