Description
The Newland WD2 is a hands-free wearable scanner for picking, packing and sorting. It clips into an integrated trigger strap worn between thumb and forefinger, so operators scan with a light thumb press and never have to put a scanner down to lift a box.
It pairs over Bluetooth 5.0 with Newland and third-party Android devices and PCs, sending data straight into your warehouse or retail application.
Comfortable hands-free scanning
The trigger strap comes in two sizes and in left- and right-handed versions, and the large size fits over thicker gloves for cold or heavy-duty work. A magnetic quick-click dock and securing strap hold the scanner firmly until the user removes it.
Precise 2D scanning
A 1280 x 800 CMOS imager reads 1D and 2D codes on labels and screens. Acuscan uses the laser cross aimer so only the targeted barcode is decoded, which avoids mis-picks on crowded labels. A mid-range (MR) version reads larger codes from further away.
Built for long shifts
The 670 mAh battery provides about 10 hours of continuous operation and recharges in under two hours. Up to four charging cradles can be daisy-chained into a multi-charging station, and the IP65 housing survives 1.5 m drops.
