Description
The Newland NVH220 Lophius AI Bluetooth (NLS-NVH220B-V2-XD) is an industrial handheld scanner for production lines, workshops and warehouses where codes are not always printed on clean labels. It decodes Direct Part Marking (DPM) codes that are laser-etched or dot-peened onto metal, plastic and rubber parts, as well as standard 1D and 2D labels.
Its upgraded dual-core platform decodes faster while using less power, and its AI detection uses computer vision to locate codes in difficult images and learn the best settings for each surface.
Lighting for every surface
Direct red and blue LEDs and a diffuse white light cover shiny, curved, textured and low-contrast surfaces. A single auto-learning button on top of the scanner tests the light source and brightness on a new part and keeps the setting that decodes best, so operators do not need to scan configuration sheets.
Made for the factory floor
The housing is sealed to IP64 against dust and water spray and survives repeated 1.8 m drops. Bluetooth 5.0 connects over up to 150 m line of sight with low latency, so one dock can cover a large production cell. The 2,900 mAh battery delivers more than 17 hours or up to 60,000 scans per charge and recharges in about 3 hours.
Direct links to PLCs and MES
Through its docking station the NVH220 connects over RS-232, Ethernet TCP/IP, Modbus TCP, Profinet or MELSEC/SLMP, which lets it send data straight to PLCs and manufacturing execution systems without middleware. EasySet and Advanced Scripting handle data formatting.
