Description
The Zebra FXP20 brings RFID to the point of sale without the complexity of a separate reader, antenna and cabling. The reader and antenna sit in one compact pad that lies on the counter or, with the optional adapter plate, mounts flush inside it. Shoppers or cashiers simply place RFID-tagged items on or near the pad and every tag is read at once.
Because it is designed for retail, the FXP20 focuses its read zone on the checkout and ignores tags on neighbouring lanes and displays, which keeps baskets accurate and prevents double charging.
Faster staffed and self-checkout
Reading every tagged item in a basket in one pass removes item-by-item barcode scanning, shortening queues at staffed tills and making self-checkout simpler. Adjustable LEDs in green, blue and orange plus three beeper volumes confirm each successful read.
Plug into your existing POS
The FXP20 connects with a single lockable USB cable and a lockable 12 V DC power connector, so it can be added to current checkout counters with little rework. Zebra’s RFID SDKs, APIs and set-up tools guide developers and integrators through configuration.
Inventory control and loss detection
Beyond checkout, the pad works at returns desks, click-and-collect counters and fitting rooms, helping update stock records and flag tagged items that have not been paid for.
