The Magellan 9600i is built for high-volume grocery and hypermarket checkouts where every second at the lane matters. Its QuadVision imaging system and multi-core processor read barcodes on all sides of an item in one pass, with up to 50% faster 2D reading than earlier Magellan models.
Because it fits the same cut-out as the Magellan 9300i and 9400i, it can replace older scanners without changing the checkout counter.
Ready for 2D and GS1 Digital Link
Retailers moving to QR-based GS1 Digital Link and Digimarc packaging codes can read them today alongside traditional UPC/EAN and GS1 DataBar, so the scanner stays useful as packaging standards change.
Loss prevention built in
ScaleSentry detects items resting off the scale platter to prevent under-weighing, ScanSentry helps spot missed scans, and EAS interlock deactivates security tags as items are scanned. The AI-enabled variant adds two colour cameras, a built-in PoE switch for extra cameras and an on-board neural processor for produce recognition, mis-scan, label-switch and stacked-item detection with Datalogic Smart Vision Suite.
Integrated scale and flexible platters
Choose scanner-only or scanner/scale models with short, medium or long platters, fixed or flip-up produce rails and shelf or flange mounting to match each lane layout.
