Description
The Chainway URA4 is a fixed RFID reader and an Android edge computer in one aluminium housing. It drives up to four UHF antennas and runs Android 9 on a Qualcomm 1.8 GHz octa-core processor, so filtering, business logic and integrations can run on the reader instead of a separate PC.
It is designed for always-on RFID points such as warehouse dock doors, conveyors, smart shelves, retail exits and tunnel readers.
High-speed, interference-resistant reading
A self-developed module based on Impinj E Series chips with Gen2X delivers read rates of more than 1,300 tags per second and stable performance in dense, RF-noisy environments. Output power is 1 W (30 dBm) as standard and adjustable, with a 2 W version for regions that allow it.
Connect it your way
The URA4 offers Ethernet, dual-band Wi-Fi, RS-232, USB and Type-C, four isolated GPIO inputs and outputs for sensors, light stacks and gates, and an HDMI port for a local display. Power it from 12 V DC or a single PoE/PoE+ cable to keep installation simple.
Built to be installed and left running
The rugged aluminium alloy body operates from -25 °C to 65 °C, and Chainway’s Android SDK lets developers build and deploy RFID applications in Java with Android Studio.
