Description
The Zebra DS9300 Series (DS9308) is a small presentation imager built for checkout counters where space is tight and speed matters. Customers or cashiers simply hold an item, a printed coupon or a phone screen in front of the scanner, and the barcode is captured instantly, so queues keep moving at supermarkets, pharmacies, convenience stores, cafés and ticket desks.
An 800 MHz processor, a megapixel sensor and Zebra’s PRZM Intelligent Imaging decode damaged, faded and high-density codes, while the curved exit window cuts glare from glossy packaging and phone screens.
Fast, hands-free scanning at the point of sale
Swipe speeds reach 120 in. (305 cm) per second for a 13 mil UPC in optimised mode, and a 52° x 33° field of view means items rarely need to be repositioned to find the sweet spot. Adaptive LED illumination dims when idle and switches on when a barcode is presented.
Built for all-day counter use
The DS9300 is designed to survive multiple 1.5 m drops to concrete and 1,000 tumbles, and its IP52 sealing, concealed beeper hole and elevated circuitry protect it against dust and everyday spills. Its ratcheting stand tilts from 15° back to 45° forward.
More than barcodes
Intelligent Document Capture turns A6-size documents such as prescriptions, receipts and ID cards into clean images. Multi-Code Data Formatting reads several barcodes in one pass, Preferred Symbol picks the right code from a crowded label, and Checkpoint EAS support lets one pass both scan the item and deactivate its security tag.
