Description
The Datalogic Heron HD3430 brings dependable 2D area-imaging to the point of sale in a design customers notice. Its curved enclosure comes in a black carbon-fibre look or a white silver finish, and retailers can personalise the top cover with a company logo and custom beep and light feedback to match their brand.
Behind the styling is a 752 × 480 imager that reads linear, stacked, 2D and postal codes, including mobile coupons, loyalty QR codes and GS1 DataBar, quickly and from almost any angle.
Accurate aiming in busy environments
White illumination keeps the light comfortable for staff and shoppers, while a highly visible 4-dot aimer with a centre cross defines the reading zone, so cashiers can pick one barcode out of several on a crowded label or catalogue page.
Hands-free or handheld
The HD3430-BKK1B kit includes a stand, so the Heron can work as a presentation scanner for quick countertop scanning and be lifted off for bulky items. Datalogic’s Green Spot projects a green dot onto the code to confirm each good read, backed by LEDs and a speaker.
More than a barcode reader
The imager can capture signatures, IDs or whole documents and save them as BMP, JPEG or greyscale TIFF files, which is useful for returns, prescriptions and customer records.
