Description
The Newland HR12 Anchoa is an entry-level handheld scanner for businesses that need reliable linear barcode reading without paying for 2D features they will never use. Plug it into a USB port and it works as a keyboard, sending each scanned code straight into your POS, spreadsheet, accounting or inventory software.
Newland builds the Anchoa around its own 1D decoding chip and a 1500-pixel CCD sensor, giving fast, accurate reads on product labels, shelf tags and printed documents.
Quick reads near and far
The HR12 scans at 300 times per second with a 40° field of view. Standard 13 mil EAN-13 codes can be read from 50 mm up to 655 mm away, so staff can scan items in a basket or on a lower shelf without bending, while fine 5 mil Code 39 labels read from 55 mm to 165 mm.
Small, light and solid-state
At 163 × 68.4 × 58.5 mm and 130 g including the cable, the Anchoa sits comfortably in the hand. With no moving parts it holds up well to daily use at the counter, and it is rated to work from -20°C to 60°C with IP41 protection.
Low power, low running cost
The scanner draws only about 55 mA when operating and 21 mA on standby, which keeps it friendly to laptops, tablets and USB hubs and reduces energy use across multi-till sites. Trigger, sense and continuous modes cover both handheld and hands-free scanning.
