Description
The Newland WD3 is a wearable badge scanner about the size of an ID card. Staff wear it on the supplied neck lanyard or retractable belt clip, so both hands stay free until a barcode needs scanning, then simply point and press.
It pairs with Android mobile computers and phones over Bluetooth 5.0 and is ideal for picking, deliveries and stock counts where carrying a full handheld scanner is unnecessary.
Megapixel 2D scanning in a badge
A 1280 x 800 sensor reads high-density, damaged and on-screen 1D and 2D codes, including QR, DataMatrix and PDF417. Acuscan mode uses the red laser cross aimer so only the targeted barcode is decoded, even on a crowded picklist.
Works with or without a live connection
Batch mode stores scans in memory and uploads them later over Bluetooth or USB-C. Newland Android devices pair through the Nwear app, and third-party Android devices connect by scanning a QR code with the EasyConnect APK.
Tough enough for all-day wear
The WD3 has no moving parts, is IP65 sealed against dust and water and survives 1.2 m drops. Its 300 mAh battery lasts up to 8 hours and recharges in under 2 hours.
