Description
The Brady IRX200 brings RFID straight onto the production line. It is a sealed, all-in-one UHF RFID reader with an integrated high-gain antenna, an on-board edge computer and native industrial protocols, so work-in-progress, totes, pallets and tools are identified automatically and the data flows directly to your PLC, MES or ERP.
Developed with Nordic ID technology and running Brady’s Nordic ID IoT platform on Linux, this EU version (B-IRX200-EU) operates in the ETSI band used in the UAE and GCC.
Native OT and IT integration
The IRX200 is a PROFINET IO device (conformance class B, 1 ms cycle time) and an OPC UA Auto-ID server. Automation engineers can add it to a Siemens or other PROFINET network like any field device, while IT systems subscribe to the same tag data over Ethernet.
Edge computing on board
A dual-core A53 processor runs reader applications for filtering, logic and decisions, while quad-core R5F co-processors handle real-time functions. With 2 GB RAM and 8 GB flash, the reader can act on reads locally instead of sending raw data to a server.
Rugged and simple to install
The IP67 housing is shock- and vibration-tested (EN 60068-2-27 and 2-6) for conveyors, AGV stations and dock doors. The integrated circularly polarised antenna removes external cabling, and an RP-TNC port adds a second antenna when needed. It mounts with four screws or a VESA 100 bracket.
