Description
The Newland URF520 Solea is a fixed UHF RFID reader for demanding retail, warehouse and logistics applications. Powered by the high-performance Impinj E710 RFID engine, it reads up to 900 tags per second and identifies tags at more than 14 m in open space, fast enough for RFID self-checkout counters, dock-door portals and conveyor read points.
One reader, up to four read points
Four TNC antenna ports let a single Solea cover several read zones, such as both sides of a portal or multiple shelves, without the cost of extra readers. It works with external antennas from 3 to 8 dBi and automatically detects whether each antenna is connected and working, flagging cabling problems before they affect your data. Output power is adjustable from 5 to 33 dBm, so you can widen the read zone for large areas or tighten it to avoid reading nearby stock.
Easy to integrate and install
RJ-45 Ethernet with PoE/PoE+, RS-232, RS-485 and USB connect the Solea to POS, WMS and ERP systems, and four isolated inputs and four relay outputs drive sensors, lights and gates. The aluminium IP53 housing includes mounting points for quick installation. Because it follows the EPC Gen2 / ISO 18000-6C standard, it reads UHF tags from any major manufacturer, so you’re never tied to one tag vendor.
