Description
The Impinj R700 Antenna Hub expands what a single Impinj R700 series reader can cover. Each reader antenna port can drive one hub with eight antenna outputs, so a 4-port R700 can control up to 32 antennas. That makes RFID smart shelves, cabinets, tool tracking, fitting rooms and multi-zone stockrooms far more affordable than installing a reader for every few antennas.
Installation is simple and tidy: one cable from the reader carries power, RF control and the RF signal to the hub, so there are no separate power supplies or control cables to run.
Scale read zones without more readers
Fewer readers means lower hardware cost, fewer network ports and less to manage. The R700 automatically handles hub antenna switching, and renames the antenna ports when the hub is enabled so software can identify every individual read zone.
Designed for clean, reliable installs
The compact 173 × 53 × 20 mm housing mounts easily inside shelving, cabinets and ceilings. Active LEDs give system-level feedback during installation and troubleshooting, and SMA connectors keep cabling standard.
Works across global frequency bands
Covering 860–960 MHz, the hub works with Impinj R700 readers configured for ETSI, FCC and other regions, and with a wide range of Impinj and third-party RAIN RFID antennas, from near-field shelf antennas to far-field panels.
