Description
The NQuire 500 Skate II proves that compact doesn’t mean limited. Its 5" capacitive touchscreen (854×480, 310 nits) pairs with Newland’s advanced megapixel scanning technology to read barcodes quickly and accurately — including barcodes displayed on a customer’s own smartphone or tablet screen, which matters increasingly as loyalty apps and digital coupons replace printed ones.
Running Android 13 with Google Mobile Services, the device is powered by a 2.0 GHz octa-core processor with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage, enough headroom to run a self-service app alongside a device-management agent without lag. Built-in 4G, dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, and Ethernet with PoE support give installers flexible connectivity for any counter or kiosk layout — PoE in particular means a single cable can carry both power and network, simplifying installation behind a checkout or reception desk.
Small footprint, flexible mounting
At 156.5mm wide and 100.4mm deep, the Skate II is small enough to sit on a crowded counter without dominating it, while VESA75 mounting means it can just as easily be wall-mounted, arm-mounted, or built into a custom enclosure. An IP54 front rating protects against dust and splashes in busy retail or F&B environments.
