Efficient custom inlay for beauty products

Industry segments: Apparel & FashionBeauty & Personal Care

AD-834 U9 inlay was developed for beauty products, and is perfectly suited for personal care and small apparel tagging as well.

Digitization of beauty products by RFID tagging can offer customers a seamless shopping experience by merging the digital and physical retail worlds, and ensure supply-chain integrity to safeguard brand value. In addition, beauty retail channels like pick-up-on-curb and virtual stores are proliferating. More than ever, consumers of beauty products expect to buy what they want anytime, anywhere, wholly on their terms, creating a greater need for a seamless shopping experience – which is made easier by digitizing products to manage the supply chain efficiently.

The inlay’s antenna measures 13 mm in diameter, and can achieve read distances of up to seven meters on a variety of surfaces including plastic, glass and cardstock. The product is available in dry inlay, wet inlay and paper label delivery formats. AD-834 U9 features NXP’s UCODE 9 chip that is equipped with 96-bit of EPC memory, including a 96-bit Tag IDentifier (TID) with a 48-bit unique serial number factory-encoded into the TID. The inlay is available now.

AD-834 U9 complies with ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management and ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management, which ensure a reliable and state-of-the-art product that meets a variety of application needs, especially in the retail environment. Like all Avery Dennison products, it is manufactured to the industry’s highest quality standards.
